eShaafi needed a backend that could grow with appointments without a heavy ops layer. I designed it as AWS Lambda services behind API Gateway, with DynamoDB modelled around how the product actually reads and writes — not around a generic SQL schema.
What I did
- Defined service boundaries and data access patterns for appointments and related flows.
- Built REST APIs and wired payment plus Agora.io for real-time video consults.
- Ran Agile ceremonies so backend, QA, and product stayed on the same sprint.
This is the system I still walk through in interviews when someone asks for an architecture I owned end to end.
